Welcome Note
The Faculty of Medicine at Al-Balqa Applied University established since 2015 and is located in Al-Salt 'ancient' City as part of the university's main center and adjacent to Al-Hussein 'Al-Salt New' Hospital. The College awards a Bachelor of Medicine Doctor of Medicine degree through regular study over six years. The Faculty of Medicine has eight departments, including the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Public Health and Community Medicine, Pathology and Forensic Medicine, General Surgery, Special Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. We employ a distinguished staff with a high level of experience and competency. Scholars are sent to prestigious universities through continuous development plans to acquire up-to-date knowledge in science, research, and clinical training in various disciplines.

About
Students in the basic years (first three years) receive knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and pharmacology. While in the last three years of study, students receive the basics and skills of diagnosis, clinical examination and treatment in internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, special surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, psychiatry, anesthesia, and emergency medicine.
Research courses given to fifth and sixth-year students have been an essential part of forming the study plan based on our philosophy of the importance of scientific research and promoting the idea of preparing doctors and researchers simultaneously. Participation in graduation projects is a prerequisite for completing the graduation process
We prepare workshops, seminars, and open medical days in Al-Salt City as part of our role in community development. In addition, our staff doctors in various specialties and subspecialties work at Al-Hussein 'Al-Salt New' Hospital under the cooperation plan with the public health sector to invest their competencies in providing patients with the highest quality of service
